In trying to figure out why I was given an extract from the church book of my 2nd great-grandfather's baptism and not a photocopy I went back and read the letter I sent to the Wollnau Church and verified that I did indeed ask for a photocopy and not an extract if the record was found. Do you think there is some other reason why they would have provided an extract and not a photocopy? Here's the important part of the letter I sent: Sehr geehrter Herr Pfarrer, Ich erforsche meine Vorfahren und benötige Angaben aus Ihren Registern. (I am researching my ancestors and need information from your records.)
