If I use the ascii (alt 129 etc.) to type u,o,or a with umlauts my printer, "Epson Stylus Pro" will not print them. I can send them in e-mail though. To print these letters I change my keyboard (Windows 98) to Deutsch by going to My computer, click on Control panel, then regional settings. Scroll down through the countries until you can highlight standard german and click on OK. At the right-hand bottom of your screen you should see either En or De. You can choose De and the printer will print the umlauts. CAUTION! The german keyboard is different that ours. Y and Z are interchanged. All of the umlaut characters are on the keys Colon, Quote, and the keys to the right of P on the keyboard. Many other symbols are changed so you have to hunt and find them. No other letters are changed though. You can also print § and ß. I don't know if this works for Win95. I suspect it does. When I get my Win95 computer back up I'll try it and report. Carl
