Good afternoon Nancy, Last week while I was on duty at the local genealogy society, a patron found an item she wanted photocopied from a very large book. She was quite upset that we did not have a large color photocopy machine so that she could get an exact replica of the record which was in an old county tax book. Among other things [I wouldn't go find some tools to take the lid off the photocopy machine] she was unhappy that I didn't know of a machine available in the neighbor-hood that would do what she wanted and that I would not let her take the book out of the library. The point: Even in America some organizations cannot afford the machinery that people would like them to have. You are welcome, A. Do you think there is some other reason why they would have provided an extract and not a photocopy? <brotherjohn snip> Any ideas? Thanks, Nancy <brotherjohn snip>
