I just looked at http://www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm and typed in Osterholz and Germany. It returned several and included one Osterholz-Scharmbeck. I double clicked on the underlined latitude-longitude and Mapquest gives a map you can zoom in to the city. Then ask to see the business map, and it lists Lowest Hotel rates, and you can check Holiday Inn, Kinko's, Denny's, Fairfield Inn, you can check attractions, money, dining, recreation, transportation, places of interest, etc. I am searching Frederick L. SCHUBERT, his sons Carl, Frederick, Bernard and 3 daughters, one Caroline, in Saxony before 1866.
