    1. [GERMANKING] SCHLECHT/Hulstein(?) Germany
    2. I have three brothers, Lebrecht (b. 20 Apr. 1820), Ernst (b. 28 Oct. 1828), and Gottlieb (b. 3 July 1837) SCHLECHT. They stated they were from Hulstein in Sachsen or Thuringia. I can not find any Hulstein and do not know if this is accurate or not. I have traced all the information (church, obituary, etc) I can about their lives here. I have found naturalization and immigration records, but they don't help. Does anyone know of a Hulstein in Sachsen/Thuringia? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Perhaps it is not spelled correctly. 'Hulstein' sounds a little strange for a location in middle Germany. > I have traced all the information (church, obituary, > etc) I can about their lives here. The only idea I have is to search in German telephone registers for the name SCHLECHT. Surely you will see hundreds of them, but perhaps you can detect any concentrations in Saxony or Thuringia. And maybe one of them lives in a village named Hu*%st$e)n ? * Dieter
