In response to P. Duerfel's question, Herzog Ernst I of Sachsen=Gotha ruled in Gotha from 1641 to 1675 and his son Herzog Friedrich I followed from 1675 to 1691, then this Duke's son, Friedrich II, followed from 1693 to 1732 and then he in turn was followed by his son, Friedrich III from 1732 to 1772 etc. I hope you find this helpful.
