J Broads I did a quick search of Ravenstein's 1883 atlas and the closest I could come to it was Hultschin in Schlesien. map 6 SW (FG9) approx. 50ºN 36ºE The Calle maps had nothing, so I went to the JewishGen shtetl seeker. I gather it's now in Poland - probably SE of Breslau (Wroclaw). Way down by the border there are a couple of Hulskie, Hulcze 50N24E, At this point I gave up since I don't know where to find a map with both German/Polish names. If your town of Hulstein still exists, perhaps someone else on this list will know exactly. Sorry, Patricia SCHUBERT Zippin >I have three brothers, Lebrecht (b. 20 Apr. 1820), Ernst (b. 28 Oct. 1828), >and Gottlieb (b. 3 July 1837) SCHLECHT. I have traced all the information (church, obituary, >etc) I can about their lives here. I have found naturalization and >immigration records, but they don't help. Does anyone know of a Hulstein in >Sachsen/Thuringia? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.
