I have an ancestor that was born in "Lobichon, Altenburg". His father was born in Muecheln and I know there are at least 4 Altenburgs in Germany -- one seems to be near Muecheln. Does anyone recognize "Lobichon, Altenburg". Thanks

Hi JD, sounds like this is Löbichau (Loebichau) near Altenburg, half-way between Gera and Schmölln (Schmoelln). From Mücheln (Muecheln) near Merseburg to Löbichau it's about 30 miles.
