    3. And by the way, Herbert Schwarz is absolutely right, I should have caught that it is in the Tachau area, since my husbands grandfather is also from there. So this is what they have on the German site. Aida ---- see below - *Roßhaupt*, č. Rozvadov Gemeinde, Bez. Tachau<http://www.genealogy.net/reg/SUD/kreise.html#wbtachau>, GBez. Pfraumberg, W B; mit Ströbl, Zirk 1441 Ew. (1415 d.); P., n.E. Waidhaus in Bayern. Schulen: 3-klas. gemischte Bürgerschule, 4-klas. gem. Volksschule. 1930 hat Roßhaupt in 131 Häusern und 6 Einschichten 784 Einwohner. Seit 1630 besteht in Roßhaupt ein Zollamt. Kirchenbuchverzeichnis des Pfarrbezirks Roßhaupt<http://www.genealogy.net/reg/SUD/kb/rosshaupt.html>, mit Pfarrorten: Roßhaupt, Ströbl, Zirk; *zeitweise:* Reichenthal, Türkenhäusel, Waidhaus *(in Bayern)*. - *TRANSLATION: District of Tachau, County Pfraumberg West Bohemia with (village) Ströbl, approx. 1441 population of which 1415 were Germans. The Border is at Waidhaus in Bavaria. Schools: 3 classes Highschool (mixed, means boys and girls), 4 classes grammar school (mixed) In 1930 Rosshaupt had 131 houses and 6 "Einschichten" which meas that there are 6 smaller surrounding settlements with 784 population. It had a "Zollamt" which is a customhouse, government office where customs and duties are paid and transports are cleared. * - And if you click on the blue line, you will get to the "inventory of records" for Rosshaupt, and the surrounding villages of Ströbl, Zirk; Reichenthal, Türkenhäusel, Waidhaus *(in Bayern)*. The border there was sort of "marbled" among the German population between Waidhaus in Bavaria and Rosshaupt in Bohemia.
