David, I have a Fickert line in my tree as well (possibly more than one, I just don't have the notes in front of me) in Hirschenstand (Jeleni) and Neuhaus (Chaloupky), and as both villages are within a few miles of Trinksaifen, we just might be related somewhere. I strongly agree with Aida's suggestion that you check the Pilsen Archives because I found about 200 years of family info all in the parish records, and it's made even easier by the fact that in birth records, the priest usually put the dates of birth and marriage of the parents along with the eventual date of death for the birth record's subject. That way you get two generations for the price of one and you have much more precise information to search back to the next generation. Hope that helps!
