Thank you for your message. You are absolutely correct - and I will, of course, follow Aida's suggestion and guidance! However, mine is not strictly a genealogical search, and I do not need grandparents and their siblings. I need to zero in on this particular family group. Across the world it is taken as a truism that as a result of the Benes Decrees, the Sudeten Germans have no way of claiming back that which belonged to them before the 1946/1947 expulsions. This is one of the "exceptions which prove the rule". In some cases ex-Sudeten Germans DO have the right to claim their inheritance. I was hoping to find some direct relatives of "my Fickert" group on this board. It is them that I am seeking, and they will not be listed in the Plsen archives. Be well David At 08:44 02/07/2012, you wrote: >David, I have a Fickert line in my tree as well (possibly more than one, I >just don't have the notes in front of me) in Hirschenstand (Jeleni) and >Neuhaus (Chaloupky), and as both villages are within a few miles of >Trinksaifen, we just might be related somewhere.
