    3. Go to this map link, it is the old Austrian map for the Boehmerwald area. Rochlov then was Rochlowa, but it definitely has a Slavic name. However, you can see that all the other villages surrounding it were German territory toward the Bavarian border. http://www.mapy.cz/#x=13.175464&y=49.732364&z=12&d=muni_1458_1&t=s&l=5 On Mon, Feb 6, 2012 at 4:51 PM, Mark Lieber <marklieber1@gmail.com> wrote: > Aida, > > I have been following conversations on this site for several weeks. 3. I found Rochlawa to be part of the Gut Tschemin in the Mies-Pilsen district. It was owned by Freiherr (Baron) Joseph von Erben. I found this in Sommer's Schematismus for the Kingdom of Bohemia on this link: http://books.google.com/books?id=3LgAAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA243&lpg=PA243&dq=www.mies-pilsen.de+Rochlowa&source=bl&ots=MUssxXDlWp&sig=0VVo5FF1ovb_1KdL4AasMqUUJCs&hl=en&sa=X&ei=CsMwT8y-Juns2gWtn8i8Bw&ved=0CEkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=www.mies-pilsen.de%20Rochlowa&f=false Now I am will look at Gut (Estate) Tschemin, it seems there were only a few houses in 1830, and the people living there were most likely employed by the estate. I will report what else I could find later. 3. I have to send the clippings from the Estates and their owners to your personal email as I cannot attach it here. This record is from 1840 and the owner at that time was Freiherr (Baron) Johann Anton von Starck. In the clippings you will find some of the people employed at the estate.
