According to an article written in the mid 1950's by one of the expellees, Leder was one of the 10 most common surnames in the Himmlisch Rybnai area and one of the 70 most common names in the Adlergebirge. In 1930, Hammerdorf had a population of 96 (2 Czechs, the rest German, all Catholic) and 28 houses.
