I subscribe to Godfrey.org I was told that because Godfrey "charges a fee" to access its databases including Heritage Quest, it was in other words "reselling" the data to users, and that is against Heritage Quest policies. This year, as the yearly subscriptions are renewing, users will loose the ability to see Heritage Quest through Godfrey. By the end of the year, no one will be able to access Heritage Quest through Godfrey. But Heritage Quest is available for free through many local libraries. At least this seems to indicate that the databases are still available on line. We have to wait and see if any other institutions drop Heritage Quest since Godfrey Library has dropped it. Karen
