If it happened to be that the householder was not at home and a servant or handyman answered questions there could have been any number of errors and ommissions. In 1910 my mother was living in Fairfax with her grandmother. She was counted there. But her name also appears on the Severance Twp. census as being a resident of her parents home near St. George. Fortunately I knew enough of my family history that I understood they were the same person rather than two persons of the same name. Karen
