Thank you for your input, Don, that is extremely valuable to know and perhaps people have different experiences at the Pilsen versus the Brünn archives? That would be interesting to know. In any event we now have proof that there are microfilms available in the Czech Republic. Brünn (Brno) and actually all of Moravia has historically always been more connected to Austria by geography. Wien (Vienna) Austria being the capital of Austria Hungary of course had a huge population of Czech government employees who stayed there after 1918..... and with tongue in cheek the saying goes that the "best looking "Viennese" woman are from Brünn!" (Ok, it is Brno now! Hard to teach an old dog new things, you know! LOL!) Pilsen, on the other hand is closer to Bavaria and therefore Germany and I would need to get some information from there. Anyone out there who could help me as to their more recent experiences at Pilsen, please let me know. Looking in on older German Bohemian List correspondence I can find good as well as bad experiences, but that is human nature, I am sure. What would be important to know is this, if they will let you handle it the same way at Pilsen as you experienced at Brünn.. Again, thank you very much Don!
