Why do the Chinese, the Japanese, even Indians share their microfilms with a Central Archive? You can find everything in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, even Estonian, Latvian and a lot of Russian Records there. German records belong to the German people, also! For example, when the Allies captured Nazi records the US and Brits microfilmed the records and returned the originals to Germany.
