Our early American findings are solid. We have him on muster rolls, etc. We have a copy of his signature on a military document and we find him on all the available census forms as he and his new wife moved from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to Russell County VA. It is the European connection for this, supposedly, rare surname that we are seeking. Where were his roots? Who were his parents? Siblings?
