    3. What lead document do you have that you cannot read. If you scan it, I will be happy to check it out for you and translate the content. If we can find a location, meaning the village or district, it will then be possible for a researcher in the Czech Republic to go after the records. Just knowing the surname in its various spellings is not enough to find the location. The combination with the first names could be helpful in this. Ehle or Ehler is a very old name from the 6th century (Egil in Old Gothic means the tip of a sword) The Westgotic King Agila was named for it.
