    2. Hi, All, I am a relatively new member of the listserv, and am enjoying it so much! Thank you all for your contributions and excellent questions. I am thinking that the long-time members already know about these maps, but I offer them anyway. I have really enjoyed these beautiful maps, and confirmed the names of towns for 2 ggrandparents. See the Ravenstein Map (1883) online at: http://www.library.wisc.edu/etext/ravenstein/home.html An older map collection is on the UCLA website. See the Blaeu collection (drawn in the 1600s) at: http://www.library.ucla.edu/yrl/reference/maps/blaeu/index.htm Enjoy! Barbara in Texas

    3. To Barbara: If you go about your genealogy as you go after maps --- and this is the right way to start, my dear --- you are going to be very successful. Thanks for sharing, you found a few beauties. You can supplement these maps with very detailed maps used by the Austrian Hungarian Military which you can find at: http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910/nepek.gif Thanks for sharing, Aida ------------------------------------------ ----- Original Message ----- From: <barbarasrelatives@sbcglobal.net> To: <GERMAN-BOHEMIAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 31, 2006 8:12 PM Subject: [GERMAN-BOHEMIAN] maps > Hi, All, > I am a relatively new member of the listserv, and am enjoying it so much! > Thank you all for your contributions and excellent questions.
