I found an interesting book at the local bookstore today titled "Bilder aus dem Sudetenland" Its a compilation of life in the Sudeten areas with pictures dating from the late 1800 to the early 1930s. It was written by Alois Harsko who was born in 1936 in Brettern in the Boehmerwald. There are about 500 photos which identify some people and villages but its main value is simply a depiction of what life was like in the area. The bookstore had about 10 copies on sale for 11 euros (about $13). If anyone is interested write me and I could tell you more or pick you up a copy. Tim jachowski
