To "Mehala" Just to let you know that your Joannes Raimundus Ingrisch is not listed in Stefan Staders Sammelwerk which is an Index of names of settlers in the Austrian-Hungarian Crown Colony Banat of which Neubeschenowa (in the Temeswar Region) is just one German Village of many. Your guess that your ancestor went there with the military is, therefore, correct. The location of Beschenova is now Romania (like the Egerland is now an area of the Czech Republic) but both were within the common motherland of Austria-Hungary for 400 years. You may want to visit their website I am giving you the URL below (this is the English version). Also, if you go to the LDS Family Research Center, they have microfilms of all Church Registers back to the first settlers for the Banat region. You may be able to backtrack from there. There are no microfilms for Bohemian Churches available at the LDS Family Research Center and you will have to contract a genealogist to search the Pilsen Archives where our records of the Egerland are located. Ingrisch and Wohlrab/Wollrab are ancient Egerlander names of very old families. http://www.dvhh.org/neubeschenowa/zollner.htm Aida ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mehala" <mehala@att.net> To: <GERMAN-BOHEMIAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 02, 2005 12:55 AM Subject: [GERMAN-BOHEMIAN] Tepl Military location - Rojau, Habakladrau, Marienbad Co, Bohemia > Does anyone know what military group a young man would have been a part of > during te 1790's?
