    2. In a message dated 3/30/2010 10:22:51 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, Moses writes: and requested for a copy of my grandfather birth certificate. I however got a document with my grandfather's information. I felt a little disappointed however better than nothing. I paid $30 for this information. ************************************** Moses, If the contents of that archive are like the other archives, they have no certificates to be copied, since there was no formal birth certificate filed at the source of the information. The information on the certificate will extracted either from a baptismal/church book, or from a civil record book, in which case the information you want and should have asked for is a photo copy (or at least a complete transcription) of the original record. The archives do issue 'certificates', and that information can be used for any legal purpose requiring that type of document. These purposes do not need all the information in the original record, so the archivists don't put it in (There is usually a form they fill out with places only for certain info). I have a couple of 'certificates' issued by the records source and they have good information, but found the original document has all the wonderful information that you need/want for genealogical purposes.
