    3. Can anyone help me with a translation from the Pilsen archives. I have located a name which corresponds to an ancestor from Bohemia, this being Josef Werner although it cannot be the same person who emigrated in 1868. The entry is located at Actapublic at Matriky for Krajková, #33 of the copied pages, corresponding to page 61 of the Book itself, the sixth entry from the top on the right side of the screen. The document is entitles "Sterbe Buch" for the year 1846, including the town of Gossengrün (Krajková) in Egerland. The entry is under the title "Name des Burstorbenen" which may refer to a deceased person. I am able to decipher that Joseph lived at Haus #6, he is male and that his religion is Catholic. Other than that I cannot discern. Michael O'Hearn Visit my Blog! http://www.westernperspective.blogspot.com

    3. Mike, use the highlighter, camera or snipping tool to copy the questionable area and I will see what I can do. I do not have time to find the spot. Sterbe Buch is correct, that is a death register, but the proper translation to German for "name of the diceased" is "Name des Verstorbenen", and not Burstorbenen, but I understand that these letters can easily be confused. I am not on the site right now, or I would go there, becuse I have different pages open on my computer now I do not wish to lose.
