Gary B. Cohen of the Department of History at the University of Minnesota has done a comprehensive study of all expulsions in Europe from their chosen homelands at the end of WW2. An awareness must be built among people that removing groups from their chosen homeland is equal to destruction of their lives, cultures, and livelihoods. Human rights should also contain the right to their ancestral homeland. For the best understanding to all of us in our country, let us be aware, of what it has done to our own Indian tribes. I understand, that Gary B Cohen has made an impressive presentation at the last meeting of the German Bohemian Heritage Society and I feel that the text of his speech should be shared with the readership of this List.
