Popp, James W. “Jim”, April 1, 1936- Dec. 21, 2012 Billings Gazette Billings, Montana 24 Dec 2012 Jim Popp James W. “Jim” Popp was born April 1, 1936, in Hardin, a son of William and Katherine Popp and brother to Dorothy, Darlene and Robert. He passed away Friday evening, Dec. 21, 2012, at his home following an illness. Jim married Elaine Wilson on Dec. 3, 1954, and was the father of Teri Lynn, Steven James and Katherine Elaine, grandfather to seven and great grandfather to 10. He retired from the City of Billings – Logan Airport. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Elaine; son Steven (Debby); daughter Kathy (Steven); sister Darlene; and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He goes to join his parents; sister Dorothy; brother Bobby; and daughter Teri. Jim left us treasures of stained glass, his wood working and the lessons of hunting, fishing, camping and nights on the lawn of stargazing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at Smith Downtown Chapel with interment of the urn to follow at Mountview Cemetery.
