Lockhart, 57, formerly of Morgan County, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 17, 2012, at his home near Eaton, Colo. He was born Feb. 20, 1955, in Culver City, Calif., to James & Marylouise Lockhart. The Lockhart family lived in Morgan County for several years before moving to the Greeley area. John graduated from Greeley Central High School. At the time of his death, John was a farmer. Survivors include his children, Carrie Jo Brady of Colo., John David Lockhart of Eaton, Jake Lockhart & Sara Lockhart both of Weldona; two brothers, Steve Lockhart & Kenny Lockhart both of Greeley; four sisters, Lois Rusch of Centennial, Colo., Nancy Lauck of Fort Morgan, and Katie Himes of Idaho; and four grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. The service will conclude at the mortuary.
