I am still searching for the village etc. from which my great grandfather may have emigrated from.  Three surnames in my family tree Appel, Nagler, and Scheuermann appear in the "founders and later arrivals list" of Yagodnaya Polyana.   Are there any records available i.e. census or birth from which I could verifiy?  I have information that my great grandmother's sister, Maria Scheuermann came from Yagodnaya Polyana (married John W. Schmick) in 1888.   I have requested several books though interlibrary loan, but thus far haven't had any luck.   Thanks in advance for any help.
