Casper Star Tribune Casper, WY Opal O. Schaper Saturday, February 03, 2007 RIVERTON -- Funeral services for Opal O. Schaper, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 3, 2007, at Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. She died Jan. 31, 2007, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She was born May 14, 1910, in Georgetown, Neb., the daughter of Andrew and Effie Ibach. On April 19, 1935, she married Arthur Schaper in Kearney, Neb. They homesteaded in the Buckhorn Flats area west of Riverton and moved into Riverton after retirement. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and taught Sunday School for several years. She was also a member of the Buckhorn Flats Extension Club. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the Senior Center, sewing, fishing, gardening and cooking. Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Wanda Lou Steinle of Thermopolis, Phyllis Glass of Casper, Linda Taylor of Powell and Regina "Jeannie" Brown of Thermopolis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, parents, brothers, Bryan, Elmer, Norris, Lee, Glen, Dale "Bill" and Robert "Bob" Ibach and sisters, Elsie Duggins, Hazel Milligan and Ethel Hall. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
