Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 02-13-2007 Flora Zimbelman May 27, 1917 - Feb. 12, 2007 Age: 89 Residence: Prospect Valley Tribute: Flora Zimbelman was born in Loveland to Jake and Kristina (Schmeirer) Kitzman. Ms. Zimbelman moved to Prospect Valley in 1935. She lived her entire adult life in Prospect Valley. On April 3, 1936, she married John Zimbelman, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading, watching "Wheel of Fortune" and the wonder dog, "Skipper," her precious protector. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a 55-year-old "Oscar Mayer Hot Dog." She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson and the Prospect Goodwill Club. Survivors: Sons, Marvin of Elizabeth, Kenneth and wife Paulie, and Jack, all of Prospect Valley; a daughter-in-law, Anna Lee Zimbelman of Prospect Valley; sisters, Juanita Cowen and Delaine and husband Luther Phillips, all of Loveland; brothers, Ben and wife Rosie Kitzman of Loveland and Ted and wife Clara Kitzman of Wiggins; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: A son, Donald Zimbelman; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Zimbelman; grandson, Steven; two sisters, Frieda Thomas and Rose Hart; and two brothers, Harold Kitzman and Alvin Kitzman. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment: Linn Grove Cemetery.
