Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 8 Feb 2007 Anna Schenaman, 102, of Gering, formerly of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at the Heritage Estates in Gering. Her Funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at the Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Dale H. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Memorials in Anna's name may be made to the Church. Friends may call at the Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Thursday from Noon to 6 p.m. Her obituary may be viewed at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com, where condolences may be left and they will be forwarded to her family. Anna was born May 10, 1904, in Rosenburg, Russia, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Katherine (Ruppel) Schwartzkopf. At the age of 8 months, she moved with her parents to Longmont, Colo. At the age of 5, they moved to Scottsbluff. She was united in marriage to Fred Schenaman, Feb. 4, 1923, in Scottsbluff. They lived in Milwaukee, Wis. for seven years before moving back to Scottsbluff. She was a charter member of the Salem Congregational Church. Anna enjoyed her Church, family activities such as dinners, holiday gatherings and cooking German dishes and her friends. Survivors include her daughters, Irene (Harry) Loos of Pleasanton, Calif., and Sylvia Debus of Mitchell; grandchildren, Larry (Judith) Loos, Jim (Marlene) Loos, Steve (Nancy) Schmidt, Debra (David) Fuss, Bill Debus and his fiancé Jodi Lange, Nanette (Kevin) Kissler; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and numerous friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband in 1974; daughter, Dorothy Crasco in 2006; son-in-law, Reuben Debus; a great-grandson; great-granddaughter, five sisters and three brothers.
