Heer and Jolliffe Mortuary Fort Morgan, Colorado 02-03-2007 Henry Kammerzell (December 30, 1920 - February 3, 2007) U.S. Veteran HENRY KAMMERZELL, 86, longtime area resident, died early Saturday morning, February 3, 2007 at the Sunset Manor in Brush, CO. He was born Dec. 30, 1920 in Milliken, CO to George & Anna (Bernhardt) Kammerzell. Mr. Kammerzell moved to Wiggins, CO from Milliken in 1943 and later moved to Fort Morgan in 1976. He married Mildred Ulrich on Dec. 14, 1947 in Milliken. He served in the US Army. Kammerzell farmed and fed cattle with his twin brother Jake most of his life. He also operated a dairy farm. From 1977 until 1984, Kammerzell served as a Morgan County Commissioner. He was a charter member of Wiggins Community Church where he also served on the church board. He also held many other positions within the church throughout the years. He was a member of the Gideons, and former member of the Rotary Club. Kammerzell was a founding director of First State Bank in Wiggins and the Fort Morgan State Bank. He was also a member of the Wiggins Telephone Association, board member of the Wiggins Fire Department, served on the Wiggins School Board, and was past president of the Wiggins Potato Growers Association. He enjoyed keeping up on current politics. Mr. Kammerzell is survived by his wife Mildred Kammerzell of Fort Morgan; two sons, Arnold Kammerzell & his wife Susan of Wiggins and Charles Kammerzell of Fort Morgan; two sisters, Freida Rosin and Marie Stroh, both of Greeley; and one brother, John Kammerzell of Greeley. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Lisa Schilz, Amy Hiltz and her husband Pat, Erin Kammerzell, Jeffrey Kammerzell, and Pete Kammerzell; and four great grandchildren, Cody Harding, Mark Harding, Joshua Harding, and Gavin Hiltz. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anna Weiderspan; and three brothers, Carl Kammerzell, George Kammerzell Jr., and Jake Kammerzell. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 7th from 4-6 PM at the Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron Street, Brush, CO. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 8th at 10:30 AM at Wiggins Community Church, 423 Dickson Street, Wiggins. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Friends may make memorial gifts in Kammerzell's name to the Wiggins Community Church. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuaries in Fort Morgan & Brush is in charge of arrangements.
