Shaun Matako of First Baptist Church in Worland presiding. Interment will follow. She died peacefully in her sleep Jan. 9, 2007 at West Park Long Term Care Center in Cody. She was born June 11, 1922 in Windsor, Colo., the daughter of Henry and Anna Stoll Lind. She attended schools in Windsor and Torrington and graduated from Torrington High School. After graduation, she attended secretary school in Washington, D.C., and worked for the federal government there for several years. She married the love of her life, Casey Day, on June 2, 1945 in Denver. They spent their first year in Missouri until he was discharged from the Army. They then moved to Torrington. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds at the places they knew as home in Wyoming. Fishing was a sport she enjoyed with her husband and children. Many dear memories were made during the fishing excursions. Spending time with her family and the many children she touched as a 4-H leader were very important to her. The years the family spent in Torrington, Cheyenne, Casper, Glendo, Seminoe Dam and finally settling in Alcova made many friends and unforgettable memories. After moving to Alcova, she worked at the Alcova Post Office until retirement and they began spending more time with family and friends. Survivors include son, Don Day and his wife of Worland; daughter, Deanna Hardy and her husband of Cody; two grandsons and four granddaughters; a great-grandson and brother, Ed Lind of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 40 years. The family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
