Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado January 23, 2007 Bob Bauer April 21, 1943 - Jan. 21, 2007 Age: 63 Residence: Lyman, Neb. Tribute: Robert W. "Bob" Bauer was born in Kersey to Conrad and Esther (Stark) Bauer. He attended school in Kersey and Greeley. He married Barbara Pound on June 10, 1962, in Greeley. He farmed with his parents until their deaths and then with his son in the Kersey and Greeley area until 1997 when he moved his farming operation to Lyman, Neb., where he farmed until 2006 when ill health forced his retirement. He never met a stranger and was always talking up a storm. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Bauer died Sunday at his home. Survivors: His wife Barbara of Lyman; a daughter, Connie Lewis and husband David of Greeley; a son, Rob Bauer and wife Pam of Mitchell, Neb.; grandchildren, Duane Lewis, Melissa White and husband Richie, Courtney, Kelsie and Conner Lewis, all of Greeley, and Tory Bauer of Mitchell. Preceded in death by: His parents; and a granddaughter, Jamie Bauer. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Eastgate Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Sparks officiating. The casket will be closed. Interment: 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley. Note: Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
