Bever, 81 Denver woman worked for Western Union 35 years Tuesday, January 16, 2007 6:50 PM MST Print this story - Email this story Elsie Eileen Bever, 81, a lifelong resident of Denver, died Thursday at her home in Windsor Gardens. Mrs. Bever was born Dec. 28, 1925, to Henry and Marie Baumgartner Kammerzell. She married Carl Earl Bever Nov. 21, 1946, in Denver. She worked for Western Union Telegraph Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Survivors include her children, Robert Bever of Brush and Kenneth Bever of Peoria, Ariz.; three brothers, Neil Kammerzell of Libbey, Mont., Irvin Kammerzell of Newport News, Va., and Herman Kammerzell of Harbor Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Gimer of Denver, Doris Gimer of Commerce City, Esther Crawford of New Mexico and Donna Conrad of Weaverville, Calif.; three grandsons and four great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; three brothers, Alvin Kammerzell, Eddie Kammerzell and Leonard Kammerzell, and her parents. Visitation was to be held today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Highland Mortuary, 104th and I-25 in Thornton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Friends may send memorial gifts to the American Heart Association. ---
