Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 2 Jan 2007 Pauline Kaufman Shoopman, 86, of Scottsbluff, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Mitchell Care Center. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Barry Warpness officiating. Interment will be at West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Memorials have been established to the church. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Pauline was born on October 5, 1920, in Minatare to George and Marie (Peil) Drumheller. She married Alexander Kaufman on April 14, 1939. in Scottsbluff. She farmed with her sons after the death of her husband Alex in July of 1960. She later worked at Vi's Diner in Scottsbluff. Pauline was a member of Hope Ladies Club, Dorcas Society - St. James Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, cooking for her family and friends and quilt-making. Survivors include her daughter Colleen Herman of Youngtown, Ariz.; son Larry (Sharon) Kaufman of Scottsbluff; daughter Geraldine "Jeri" (Harvey) Bartel of Scottsbluff; daughter Sharon (Pete) Bennis of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; sons Rick (Jacque) Kaufman of Scottsbluff and Rodney Kaufman of Weiser, Idaho; 11 grandchildren' and 11 great-grandchildren; brother Edd (Elizabeth) Drumheller of Thornton, Colo.; sisters Esther Schmall of Bayard, Caroline (Dale) Smock of Scottsbluff, Lenora Cross of Bayard, Marleen (Bill) Blanding of Carpentersville, Ill., Judy Drumheller and Trudy Drumheller both of Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alex, four brothers, two sisters and three grandsons.
