Scottsbluff Star Hearld Scottsbluff, NE 17 Jan 2007 Arlie D. Schenbeck, 73, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at his home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Northfield Assembly of God Church in Gering with Pastor Lyn Reimers officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff with military honors provided by the Nebraska National Guard. Friends may visit at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday. Memorials have been established to Prairie Haven Hospice, Northfield Assembly of God Church and Bridgeport Assembly of God Church. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. A memorial service will be held at a future date in Aiea, Hawaii at Bethany Assembly of God Church. Arlie was born July 8, 1933, at Gering, Neb., to Alva and Pearl (Hungerford) Schenbeck. He served in the United States Navy from June 1951 to May of 1958 serving two enlistments. He married Lorraine Yoshiko Kauo, March 6, 1954 in Honolulu. He was an Air Traffic Controller in Hawaii from 1958 until 1985 when he went into the ministry. He was a servant of the Lord, serving churches in Honolulu, Oahu, Northfield Assembly of God and Bridgeport Assembly of God. Arlie was united in marriage to Pauline Sheets July 13, 2000, in Scottsbluff. He is survived by his wife Pauline; daughters and sons-in-law: Audrey (Robert) Strapple, Loretta (Frank) Trigilio, Esther (Henry) Schenbeck-Chang, Anna Elizabeth (Kose) Godinet and Arliene Moe all of Hawaii; stepdaughter: Charlsie (Larry) Walker, Phoenix, Ariz.; stepson: Marshall (Peggy) Sheets of Scottsbluff; 14 Grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; brothers: Homer (Shirley) Schenbeck, Denver, Colo., and Kent Schenbeck of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters: Norma (Max) Harmon, Hamilton, Mont., and Marlene (Erv) Reifschneider, Aurora, Colo., Judi (Dale) Harding, Billings, Mo.; brothers-in-law: Emmett (Gail) Marshall, Milton, Wash., and Bill Robinson, Gering; sister-in-law: Blanche Schenbeck, Gering. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine, parents, two infant children and a brother Lane Schenbeck.
