Jolliffe Funerfal Home Scottsbluff, Nebraska 2007-01-18 Albert Gottfried Loose, 85, of Scottsbluff, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Northfield Medical Center at Gering. His Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 20 at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion Evangelical Church at Scottsbluff with Pastor Garry Schick officiating. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff prior to the Memorial service. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Church. Friends may call at the Jolliffe Funeral Home at Scottsbluff, Friday, Jan. 19 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. His obituary may be viewed at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com , where condolences may be left and will be forwarded to Albert's family. Albert was born February 14, 1921 at Ft. Morgan, CO., the son of Gottfried and Mary Loose. In 1924, his family moved to a farm in the Gering Valley. He graduated with the Class of 1939 from the Gering High School. He was united in marriage to Irene Yakel, May 30, 1942 at Torrington, WY. They lived in the Gering Valley where he farmed for 40 years. He was an active member of the Church where he served on the church council in various capacities. Survivors include his wife Irene, sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Joan Loose of Chandler, AZ., Steve and Mary Loose of Scottsbluff, daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Dick Rubottom of Idaho Falls, ID., Susan and Austin Maddox of Scottsbluff, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters: Betty Gross and Gladys Keller both of Gering and Viola Leonhardt of Lovell, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Harold Loose.
