Listers, Does anyone know if there are ship records that exist for those that sailed from ports in Germany to Buenos Aires, South America or where they might be found? My GG Grandfather Johann Adam Dorn, his wife Katherine and a son Jacob Dorn along with his wife Katherine (Melcher) and several children all left Germany and sailed to South America where Johann Adam's wife Katherine died. Shortly after she died they sailed from Buenos Aires to New York to embark on a new life. Through my research I was able to find their ship record from Buenos Aires to New York but would like to find the first part of their journey if possible. Thanks, Mark
Mark Do you have access to Ancestry.com? They have just recently added ship records to there collection. If not I would be glad to do a search for you. Hi, Mark: I beg your pardon. I did not understand something about your search: Your interest is about the departures from Germany or the passengers arrivals to Buenos Aires? I can send you some information of this last port.- Gerardo Waimann Buenos Aires - Argentina --- Mark <mytree@sbcglobal.net> escribió: > Listers, > > Does anyone know if there are ship records that > exist for those that sailed from ports in Germany to > Buenos Aires, South America or where they might be > found? > > My GG Grandfather Johann Adam Dorn, his wife > Katherine and a son Jacob Dorn along with his wife > Katherine (Melcher) and several children all left > Germany and sailed to South America where Johann > Adam's wife Katherine died.
