Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 01-17-2007 Sarah Lapp Sept. 19, 1945-Jan. 14, 2007 Age: 61 Residence: Barnesville Tribute: Sarah Elizabeth Lapp was born in Greeley to James and Elizabeth (Underwood) Hess. She went to grade school in Barnesville and graduated from Greeley High School in 1963. On Feb. 26, 1966, she married Jack Lapp at Galeton Community Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Lapp was first introduced to Jesus by her Grandma Underwood, and when she turned 16, Mrs. Lapp took her grandma, brothers and sisters to church. She loved working with her husband on the family farm and enjoyed the animals most. She also loved taking care of others and worked as a caregiver for many years. Mrs. Lapp had many hobbies and enjoyed every minute that she was able to spend with her family. She liked to play jokes right up to the very end. She always thought of others first. Mrs. Lapp died Sunday at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit in Greeley. Survivors: Her husband, Jack Lapp; a daughter, Christine Rogers, and a son, Rhiney Lapp, and three grandchildren, Wyatt and Marie Rogers and Ben Lapp, all of Barnesville. Also surviving are two sisters, Janet Painter and Edna Connors, both of Nebraska; a brother, John Hess of Greeley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Her parents, a sister Ruth Reed and a brother Jimmy Hess. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel. Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
