Kenny Thanks Kenny. I do have Ancestry (Deluxe Edition) and have been searching like crazy. I have my grandfather's Russian military papers with dates they were given permission to leave, but no passport, ship manifests, or naturalization papers to tell me when, where they left from or going to which port. They went to Newark, NJ, so I'm assuming it was NY. -----Original Message----- From: Kenny Stugart [mailto:iamken11@att.net] Sent: Monday, January 15, 2007 8:47 PM To: Kay Boynton Subject: RE: [GER-VOLGA] Fwd: Travel from Volga Kay They most likely went by train to Libau, ship to Hull England or Bremen Germany then to Liverpool England where they would have boarded another ship to the US. To bad you didn't ask in Nivember as Ancestry.com had a free month, they have all the ships records, it might be worth your effort to do a search for them as they have 14 days free if you sign up. Just about all of my rels went thru Libau then thru England, of course I was lucky I have the Russian passports and that tells me where they left from.
