    3. Billings Gazette Billings, MT 3 Sep 2007 Rose Reiter Deines LAUREL - Rose Reiter Deines, 88, passed away peacefully at the Liggett Cottage, St. John's on Sept. 1, 2007. Rose was born on April 19, 1919, in Laurel, the daughter of Jacob and Katherine Reiter. She graduated from the Laurel High School. Rose married Harry Deines on Sept. 30, 1938. They had two daughters, Donna Leuthold and Rosetta Deines. Rose was a life long member of the First Congregational Church in Laurel. She was truly dedicated to her Lord and Savior. Rose was actively involved in the church choir and singing for years in a German singing group, Dorcas Society and Bible Studies. Rose loved her flowers and could hardly wait for spring to plant her geraniums. Rose was a talented seamstress, sewing many wedding dresses, formals and doing alterations. She loved sharing her baked goods with everyone. At Christmas she made almond-roca and other times German coffee cake and cabbage rolls (a family favorite.) Rose loved pink and she always had a soft-pink kitchen, 'cause it made her happy. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Harry of 69 years, her daughter Rosetta and her sisters Katherine (Joe) Gettman, Marie (Jake) Batt, Betty (Dan) Trupp and brothers Alexander (Dick) Reiter and Jack Reiter and son-in-law Eddie Leuthold. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Leuthold; grandchildren, Rick (Cindy) Leuthold, Jeff (Ingeri) Leuthold and Doug Hauf; great-grandchildren, Katie, Lindsay, Jessica, Keaton, Parker and Chloe; niece Loretta Lam; nephews, Gerald Trupp and Darrell McGillen; sister-in-law Irene (Norm) Shorb and brother-in-law Bud Fritzler. A special thank you to the staff at Liggett Cottage and Big Sky Hospice for all the love and caring they gave Rose.
