Mr. Wilhelm was born in Wheatland, Wyo., and moved to Greeley after serving in the Army including 18 months in Germany. He began a successful career with State Farm in Greeley in 1963. He opened his own agency in March 1972 in Greeley, was promoted to agency manager in 1976 in Casper and then returned to an agency in February 1991 in Casper. While in Greeley, Mr. Wilhelm learned to play the dulcimer and was a member of the Carl Zeller Band for several years. An avid supporter of University of Wyoming sports, Mr. Wilhelm was a member of the Cowboy Joe Club and the T-Bird Booster Club. He coached midget football and helped to create and coach the Casper Youth Soccer League. He also was involved in many community activities including the Chamber of Commerce — Sports and Attractions, Rotary Club, March of Dimes and the Cancer Relay for Life. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Community Church, Casper. Interment will be in Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with military honors by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming National Guard.
