Billings Gazette Billings, MT 2 Sep 2007 LAUREL - Emma Frank, 92, passed away Aug. 31, 2007, at the Horizon Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. Emma was born on April 6, 1915, in Kautz, Russia, to Jacob and Eva Schreiner. She immigrated to the United States at the age of six with her mother, brothers and sisters. Emma was naturalized as a U. S. citizen in 1938. Emma married Henry H. Frank in Laurel on Feb. 25, 1934. Together, they farmed northeast of Laurel. From their loving marriage six children were born: Darlene, Dolores, Bruce, Loren, Linda and Valorie. Emma was a life-long member of the First Congregational Church of Laurel. Emma's first and last love was her family; she also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking and baking. Her generosity through quilts, doilies and baked goods was enjoyed by many. Survivors include Darlene (William) Huschka of Billings, son-in-law Robert Dietz of Worland, Wyo., Loren (Taney) Frank of Laurel, Linda Calhoun of Gillette, Wyo., and Valorie (James) Kraft of Billings; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Mace and Julia Doyle of Billings and brother George Fox (Helen) of Naples, Fla. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry H.; daughter, Dolores Dietz, Worland, Wyo.; son, Bruce H. Frank of Roundup; two brothers and one sister. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the First Congregational Church in Laurel. Interment will be in the Laurel Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Congregational Church, Horizon Hospice Home or charity of your choice. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
