Patrick, Thanks for the link! The problem is with this listing, as you mention, you need the German cross reference. Also, many towns from the 1764 census are no longer around and did not take on the Russian names. I was looking up my families town Seewald, but it did not show up on the links listing. I would like to just map them in the VG names. Less confusion for we VG who really never accepted the Russian names in the first place.
