A funeral Mass will be held at noon Wednesday, April 4, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence., followed by a luncheon at the parish center. Mr. Klein was born June 30, 1934, in Sterling to Stephen and Christine (Weingardt) Klein. He graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School in Sterling in 1953. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War. After his discharge, he settled in Portland, Ore. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence. Mr. Klein is survived by his wife, Judy Klein; sister, Rosemary Steinbach of Sterling; brother, Al Klein of Sterling; daughters, Vickie Jackson of Weston, Ore., and Lori Stanard of Riverside, Calif.; son, Ken Klein of Hillsboro, Ore.; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Stephen Klein of Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Health Hospice Care or the St. Mary’s Building Fund, both in Florence. Burn’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home handled the arrangements. ---
