Greeley Tribune Greeley, Colorado 06-02-2007 Ruth Snorgrass Dec. 10, 1918-May 19, 2007 Age: 88 Residence: Council, Idaho, formerly of Keenesburg Tribute: Ruth Ethel Snorgrass was born in Greeley to John F. and Hallie Ethel (Werkheiser) Oster. In 1940, she married Wade Andy Snorgrass in Fort Lupton. Mrs. Snorgrass lived in Keenesburg for more than 60 years. In 1998, she moved to Council to live with her son Butch and daughter-in-law Becky. During the summers of 1953, 1954 and 1955, she and her husband and sons, Wade and Butch, owned and operated a duderanch on Lookout Mountain. Mrs. Snorgrass was a longtime Tupperware dealer in the Keenesburg area. She sewed many colorful quilt tops that she gave to many family members and friends. Mrs. Snorgrass had a wonderful sense of humor, a delightful smile and a generous heart. She died May 19 in Council. Survivors: A son, Floyd "Butch" and wife Becky of Council; four brothers, Ted and Jim of La Salle, John of Kersey and Ivan of Lochbuie; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by: Her husband in 1979, a son Wade in 1984, her parents, three brothers, Lewis, Richard and Floyd Oster and a sister, Joy Kreitzer.
