Thanks for your reply. My father Godfrey H Peil, [b. Jan.27, 1909, Holstein/Rudick, Russia], [still living] thinks he filed the papers about 1941, in either Bay City, MI, or he said he may have gone to Detroit, MI. while Dad is still in good mental health, who remembers something for 60 plus years. Since my grandpa, [Henry Peil Sr.] did not get his citizenship papers before Dad was 21 years old, Dad had to get his own citizenship papers. I checked and it seems Michigan does have an archive.
