Carl, Here are a couple of sites for you to try: www.ahsgr.org This is the site for the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. There is a Salwasser chart listed (this means someone paid to have this name researched in Russia and you can purchase a copy from AHSGR) if it is your branch. Most of us would do almost anything to have a Pleve Family Chart. www.webbitt.com This is another good site for research. There are others.
