Fort Collins, Colorado Coloradoan Article published Mar 14, 2007 Roland Roy Feit DOB:4/3/1924 DOD:3/12/2007 Roland Roy Feit, 82, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007, at his home in Fort Collins. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Plymouth Congregational Church with reception to follow. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery on Thursday. Roland was born April 3, 1924, to Fred and Pauline (Greenwalt) Feit in Fort Collins. He married Juanita Fern LeValley on Feb. 12, 1950, at the First Christian Church in Greeley. They were married for 54 years. She passed away on Dec. 16, 2004. He lived in Fort Collins his entire life and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1942. He farmed nearly all of his life. Roland lived on the family farm nearly 80 years before moving to the Worthington. He liked to play golf and was an avid pool player at the Fort Collins Senior Center, and he loved his dogs. Roland was a devoted husband, loving father and wonderful Papa to his four granddaughters. He received awards from the Fort Collins Rotary Club Master Agriculturist and Fort Collins Young Farmers Outstanding Senior Farmer Award. He was on the Board of Directors of the Fort Collins Soil Conservation, member of various farm organizations, and lifelong member of the Plymouth Congregational Church. Roland is survived by his sons, Greg Feit and wife Gwen of Fort Collins and Alan Feit and wife Dana, of Greeley; daughter, Diane Roth and husband, Jeff, of Parker; granddaughters, Jaime Engel and husband, Jeff, of Fort Collins, Annie Thomas and husband Matt, of Denver, and Evin and Kylie Feit of Greeley; and brother-in-law, Leroy Hofferber of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pauline Feit; wife Juanita; sisters Lorene Lind, Dorothy Greenwald and Margaret Hofferber. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fort Collins Senior Center or the Plymouth Congregational Church.
